Conflict: Denied Ops

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

So - I’ve long been a fan of the Conflict series of games. It started out with Conflict: Desert Storm in which you played a team of special operatives (each with their own unique abilities and functions) who performed various missions through the Desert Storm campaign. You had your rifleman, your support (MG), your Sniper, and your Special Assault (Silenced weapons and Shotgun). In general the game was great fun and was made moreso by the ability to play cooperatively with a friend (One controlled the Rifle/Support while the other controlled the Sniper/Assault) (more…)

Blacksite: Area 51

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

I generally will try to be as fair as possible when I review a title and base my review on a complete analysis of the title in question. However, in Blacksite: Area 51 - I can sum up most of the game in a single word: Crap.

Now, I don’t choose this lightly, but the issues with this game are so numerous, so incredibly annoying, and so impossibly upsetting, that I could barely register a positive aspect of the game (Even now, I’m struggling to think of one) but, let’s break it down and explain my feelings.

I mean, I know that it’s difficult to put in intense shooter action and not feel like its really dragging on, but there are times where I just have to wonder why it is we cannot seem to get a good 8 hours of gameplay out of these titles that are coming out these days. PC Review - Hellgate: London

Sunday, November 11th, 2007

Founded by the core development team of the Diablo franchise (Blizzard Entertainment), Flagship Studios had quite the pedigree to live up to with the heavily anticipated release of Hellgate: London. While some may not think it fair to compare the two games, Hellgate is in fact advertised as the spiritual successor to Diablo II, so expect quite a bit of comparison between the two in this review. As a hardcore Diablo II fan, I must admit that I am both please, and disappointed with the release of Hellgate. (more…)

PSP Review - Dungeons and Dragons Tactics

Sunday, November 11th, 2007

Alright, so we have this really cool concept. Let’s take Dungeons and Dragons, put it on a portable system with better graphics than the Eye of the Beholder game and on a totally different platform. Great idea? Well, Kuju Entertainment seemed to think so and with that very plan in mind, they developed Dungeons and Dragons: Tactics for the PSP. (more…)
