That is pretty ridiculous, Lucas. There is no way I would be paying that months bill, regardless of whether I absolutely had to pay shipping or not. The closest experience I have had to this was with Cingular Wireless a few years back; it was about 6 months before my cellular contract was up but we wanted to get a new plan.

Very common for customers to cancel an old plan for a new one with the same company. Anyhow, long story short after having been assured 100% that there would not be a cancellation fee for the phones when updating to a more modern plan - we end up with a $250 dollar bill ($50 cancellation fee for each phone). Spent more time than I care to remember arguing back and forth on the phone with them, absolutely was not going to pay. All they had to do was check their "quality assurance" recordings of our previous conversation and they would hear the representative promise us the lack of cancellation fee. Ended up having to initiate legal proceedings against them, as soon as that whole debacle even started the bill was cleared. Cost us about the same price in legal fees to get the thing taken care of, but it was the principle of the matter by that point.

Holy God it's Jodzio! How have you been sir?

For those out of the loop, Mr. Johns over here is the man who provided me with my very first hosting for web pages; without Jodzio pushing me to get started in the begining inDevs.net may have never came to be.

Wow, makes me very sad to see Blacksite not come out so well. Area 51 is platform for many of my fond arcade-driven memories.

Great read, Lucas; I've never played a Kane and Lynch title myself, but I'm sorry to see it was a disappointment.

I'll be updating this as I go by the way, eventually it may become a static page if it gets enough content. If you have anything you found useful and want to add, just add it as a comment and I'll toss it in.

Should be fixed now; "Comment author must have a previously approved comment" was selected. That option prevents a posters first ever comment from being auto-added (to make sure automated spam comments don't get through I guess). I just turned that off so it shouldn't happen again; unless we actually start to get some traffic, and some spammers, theres no reason for it to be on really.

EDIT: Nevermind, that wasn't it either. You just weren't logged in when you made the comment.

Gears of War actually does use the Unreal 3 level editor, so I am likely going to just skip that for Unreal Tournament 3 (I'd imagine that if anything UT3 would have a more recent version of the editor than GoW).

I'm not sure why I had to manually "moderate" your comment for it to show up either; I'll go take a look at those settings now. Your an Editor, it seems very odd that it wouldn't automatically add your comment considering you have the power to moderate/edit anything on the site anyway. Frankly, I don't want any comments (other than those from non-registered users) to require manual activation to show up. Off to the Site Admin section...

Have you considered also checking out the Gears of War PC Level Editor? I'm off to pick that up later this week and start working with that editor. I'd also love to work with the Oblivion editor if I ever get the time
